Competence in processing „Non-wood“ products Leitz will present the following tool systems at fair K in Düsseldorf: Tools for plastic window and door production Modern plastic window profiles place high demands on sawblade cut quality and lifetime because of the use of high-quality surface coatings and fiberglass reinforced plastics. At the fair K in Düsseldorf Leitz presents a diamond tipped sawblade meeting all these requirements. This sawblade is available in 6 diameters and field trails have shown that after 2,000 cuts this innovative sawblade is more economical than a tungsten carbide tipped sawblade. “Transparent” result when cutting acrylic glass with “GlossCut” Acryl is a material, frequently used in modern furniture fittings. Achieving transparent results when machining this material in one step and without the need for additional finish polishing, high precision tools with low tolerance are essential in terms of run-out, concentricity and axial eccentricity. The ‘GlossCut’ sawblade has the characteristics to meet this objective as have MKD (monocrystalline diamond) tipped routers and drills because of their unique cutting geometry. Visit our stand for more information about machining various plastic panels and profiles using sawblades and routers. Chip forming machining of insulating materials - how does that work? Saving energy is of ever increasing importance. There are many insulating materials on the market: polystyrene, polyurethane, mineral wool and wood fibres and Leitz has the knowledge of the use and applications for cutting tools for all these materials. We will show machining of ExPS (extruded polystyrene) on the Leitz stand.
